Safety First

 Officer Tindle came to our class and talked about his job as a policeman.

 He let us use his handcuffs and walkie talkie.

Policemen are our friends and help keep us safe.

We are Reading

 We  learned our first sight word this week.

 We had a great time with "The Book Bag" and the word "THE".

 Austin netted a yo-yo ball with his trip to the prize box.

 Friday afternoon fun in the dirt!



Senses

 This was our first week in centers.

 Here is Tinnin's mom helping us!

 We popped popcorn and used all 5 senses as we listened, smelled, touched, watched and tasted.  What a great way to use all 5 senses!

 We each brought a bag of "surprises" to touch and feel and guess what was inside. 

 Next we drew pictures of our objects.



Shape Frogs

 Mrs. Jones's 16 little freckled frogs on speckled logs.

 We had fun creating these frogs after learning about shapes.

What else can we create with shapes?

ANYTHING we can imagine!

Jelly Bean Graph

 On our first day of "Color Week", we practiced our graphing

skills with jelly beans.

 It was both educational and delicious!!

 It was hard not to eat our "work" before we finished counting.
